Note from Council President – April 2023

Pray - WORSHIP - Study - Invite - Encourage - Serve - Give

When you hear the word worship, what comes to mind? What is your first memory of worship? For you, it might be witnessing a baptism or being touched by hearing your favorite hymn. Maybe you respond to a sermon that challenges you or you are filled with God’s grace as you take part in communion and both of these help you through your week. Worship is the way for us to be nurtured as disciples of Christ. Worship happens in our community of faith at Christ Lutheran Church and in our private devotional life which both play a part in our faith journey. Both practices help maintain our personal connection to God.

As we look to Easter, we welcome the return to two worship services. Worship with us at 9 am or 11 am. Coffee fellowship will be offered between services. Sunday school and Live Streaming will be offered at 11 am. We thank our volunteers and our schedulers who have made the adjustment to covering both services. Please consider volunteering as an usher, counter, communion assistant, worship assistant, for the altar guild or one of our live streaming positions as we make this transition.

- Deb Park, Council President

“Lord God, we give you thanks and praise for the gift of congregation. Help us in our understanding of all Christ has done that we may worship you wholeheartedly. Keep us focused on love and service to you, through love and service to all. Amen.”

- Prayer from an ELCA small group study on Worship
