Madame President.
I think that title has a good ring to it, doesn't it? It's a role I was unsure I was ready to take on when asked to be Vice President in 2021, knowing it would lead to being President. But as our Church is changing, I am more than happy to be in this new role. I love this Church so much. I want to see it grow and thrive.
I would like to welcome Pastor Polly Standley back to CLC as our interim Pastor this month. You might remember her as she was here a few years ago and helped us as we transitioned from Pastor Dave to Pastor Justin. She will be preaching the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month and the 5th Sunday when there are 5 Sundays. Let’s welcome Pastor Polly back! Thank you Pastor Polly!
Spring is fast approaching! Warmer weather will be coming. Flowers will start to bloom. The Sun will be out more! As we enter the season of Spring, the season of warmth and growth, I challenge you to look inside yourself and see where you need some growth. Do some self reflections. It’s the time of change! Be the best version of yourself. It is what you deserve!
This months prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the wonderful season of spring. During this sweet time, I ask You for a fresh beginning in each of our hearts. Please allow each of us, as Christians, to bloom in Your word, just as the flowers are blooming. Help us to be witnesses whenever there is an opportunity, and followers of Your word every day. Let our petals continuously grow and our leaves steadily extend, as we work to gather more and more seedlings for Your harvest.
In Your precious name, I pray.
Amen.
Whitney VanGessel
Council President
